To
practice my "rotating wrist method" is easy when there
is no ball on the ground --- this is because you are only concentrating
on the actual process of making sure that you activate the rotation
of the wrists in order to keep the putter square with the target
line, and not having to concentrate on striking the ball.
However when it comes to actually
making the wrist rotation as well as striking the ball, the conscious
mind finds it difficult to carry out the correct movement, as well
as striking the ball.
So when you are on the golf course,
take a few
practice swings immediately before you intend to strike the
ball, making sure that you make the correct wrist movements each
time you make the practice putt.
You will find that the mind has
a capacity to remember the correct wrist rotation by using a short
term memory retention facility.
This enables you to rotate the
wrists correctly whilst still in automatic mode -- which leaves
the mind free to to concentrate on watching the ball.
This memory retention method also works when
you are trying to modify other parts of the golf swing -- try it
out for yourself, it really does work.
