Hip Action- Master - (Changed - 19/03/2008)

As the left shoulder force the shoulder/arms-unit to rotate to the end of the back swing movement, the muscles of the legs must remain in a taut condition and the heel of the left foot must remain firmly on the ground in order to put up the maximum resistance to the movement of the upper body unit.

However as the shoulder/arms-unit rotate to the end of the back swing movement the hips will automatically follow the movement of the shoulders, therefore during the back swing movement all you have to concentrate on is the performing a pivotal movement of the hips.

However during the down swing movement you have to physically force the hips to pivot and rotate towards the target area.
