Albeit for only
a milli-second.
- (Changed - 20/07/2010)
At the precise moment the shoulders return to the original address
position, they appear to slow down considersably for a nanosecond,
however it is important to understand that the passive arms/club
head are moving at a much higher speed thus giving this impression.
However the shoulders do remain near the parallel to the target
line for enough time to allow the passive arms/club head to swing
into and through the contact area, thus ensuring that the
club face remains square to the target line for a slightly longer
distance as it moves through the contact area.
As soon as the interact of the arms is completed, i.e, right
arm is fully straightened, an action that only takes a nanosecond
to perform, the right shoulder must immediately begin to rotate
under the chin, thereby using the movement of the right shoulder
to push the club head to the bottom
of the swing arc.
(This is why it is important to maintain the upper body angles
at all times.)
