Movement.-

"Key
Movement"
It is important to understand that whilst the hip movement
has forced the whole twisted body unit to rotate about its axis,
the shoulders have automatically returned to this position, but
importantly, the elbows have been held as close together as is possible,
thus maintaining the shoulder/arms-unit as a very compact one piece
unit.
At the precise moment the club head makes contact with the ball,
the shoulders must be in the original address position.
From this position the passive arms quickly interact whilst
the shoulders slowly continue to rotate, thus performing the Key
Movement and also swinging the club head to the bottom of the swing
arc.
The passive arms interact whilst the shoulders rotate very slowly
for the following reasons:-
1) To ensure that the club head remains on the straight to the
target line for that extra distance through the contact area.
2) To ensure that the loft of the club face remains constant
as the club head moves through the contact area.
The Shoulders.
The shoulders must be Parallel
to the Target Line at the precise moment the club head makes
contact with the ball.
As
you move the mouse over the picture, a second image shows the result
of the passive arms interacting whilst the shoulders continue
to rotate at a very slow rate.
