Swing Path
- (Changed - 02/01/2009)
The swing path of the golf club immediately begins to move inside
the straight to the target line and continues on this arc to the
end of the back swing movement and then then during the down swing
movement the swing path is simply reversed so that at the precise
moment the club head strikes the ball, the golf club is back in
the original address position before swinging the to the inside
of the body as the follow through movement is performed.
Therefore as you perform the down swing movement you should
be aiming to swing the golf club from the inside position back to
the original address position, but importantly, try to continue
to swing the golf club to the right of the target area as the follow
through movement is performed.
The golf club will not follow this swing path, but it will ensure
that the club head follow the correct swing path through the contact
area.
