Forearms.
- Master - (Changed

Most golfers force the forearms to rotate in a clockwise motion
during the back swing movement, however by trial and error
I have found that by not forcing the forearms to rotate during the
back swing movement, therefore eliminating any unnecessary movement
of the forearms, the alignment of the club face to the position
of the shoulders remain constant throughout the back swing movement.
( See Video)
As the back swing movement is performed, the rotational movement
of the compact upper body unit push the passive arms to the end
of the back swing movement.
Therefore as the back swing movement is performed the right
arm will automatically bend/fold thus causing the forearms to automatically
rotate in a clockwise motion -- therefore at no point in the back
swing movement should the forearms be consciously rotated.
I can assure you that when you begin to make a back swing without
consciously rotating the forearms it will feel very strange but
persevere and you will soon begin to reap the benefits.
Similarly, as the shoulders rotate back to the original address
position, the right arm gradually returns to the position of being
slightly bent which automatically rotates the forearms in an anti-clockwise
motion and thereby returning the club face to the original address
position of being square to the target line - therefore you do not
need to consciously rotate the forearms during the down swing movement
.
However as you perform the down swing movement, it is vital
that you try to keep the right arm in the fully bent condition for
as long as possible so that the reversal of the rotation of the
forearms is delayed until the precise moment you begin to flail
the club head into the contact area.
However it is absolutely vital that you hold the shoulders and
the arms tightly together as a very compact unit throughout the
complete golf swing movement, thus restricting the rotational movement
of the forearms.
